Raw Plantain / Aratikaya Fry






Ingredients:


Aratikaya/ Raw Plantain - 1
Oil
Salt
Chilli Powder
Turmeric
Green Chillies
Curry Leaves and Coriander Leaves

Optional: Onion and tempering





Peel and cut the Plantain into small dices. Add oil in the pan and add the Plantain dices, turmeric, curry leaves and some salt into the pan.
( I have added the chopped onions along with the Plantain dices rather than frying them separately. )
Cover the pan with the lid and leave it for ten min in low flame. Once they are cooked , remove the lid, add slit green chilli and Chilli powder, coriander and fry for five more min.
The fry can be relished as a side for dal rice, rasam rice, sambar rice.
