Ingredients:
Oil - 2 Table Spoons
Onions - 1 (Bigger One)
Green Chilli - 2
Ridge Gourd - 1/2 Kg
Turmeric Powder 1/2 table spoon
Salt and Chilli powder as per taste
Coriander leaves and Curry leaves
Optional:
Tomato - 1 (Medium Sized)
Take a small pan and heat two table spoons of oil in it. Add chopped onions and slit green chilli once the oil is hot and try them until they are translucent. Add turmeric, curry leaves and chopped ridge gourd in the pan. Add some salt and cover it with the lid. (Tomato can be added at this stage). Cook until the pieces are well cooked in low flame. You don't have to add water when cooking in low flame. Stir after 10 min and cook it for five more min.
Add chopped coriander and the curry is ready to be served with hot rice or pulkas.
